The sword of the sages was a magical sword of light used by the Sage of Water in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. The sword was thrust into Ganondorf's chest in hopes of executing him. This was not the case as Ganondorf survived thanks to his Triforce of Power. Leaving a glowing wound on his chest instead, [Ganondorf] took the sword and killed the Sage. Ganondorf kept the sword and used it later in the game in the final battle with Link. The sword's shape seems to boast a type of long sword, though it's size suggests that it is more of a katana like blade instead.
