The Wooden Sword is a recurring sword in the Legend of Zelda series.

Appearances

The Legend of Zelda

In Template:LOZ, the basic Sword is found at the starting point in the cave, given to him by an Old Man. Link can use this sword until he obtains either the White Sword or Magical Sword, which are more powerful. It is brown, suggesting a wood or bronze make.

Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons

The Wooden Sword is also first weapon obtained in the Oracle games. In Template:OOA, Impa gives it to Link; in Template:OOS it is obtained inside the Hero's Cave on the Western Coast.[1]

Twilight Princess

The Sword is also in Twilight Princess, being the first sword he receives. He receives it from Rusl as a present (although the in-game description suggests that Rusl was simply repairing it), and it is with this sword the player learns basic sword fighting skills. Link keeps this sword until after he rescues Talo. He eventually gives the sword to Talo so he and Colin can get past them to where Ilia is holding Epona.

Later on, Link comes across the broken wooden sword when he is looking for the children as a wolf. From these pieces, he is able to pick up the Youths' Scent.
