The Boko Baba appears in The Wind Waker. Their king is the great Kalle Demos. It looks like a harmless Boko bud, but when you get close, it springs out revealing it's monstrous head. It's much like a Venus fly trap and even has similar "teeth" to one. It hangs out it's purple tipped, yellow tounge, and drools purple saliva, craving for the green garbed hero.

It has 3 methods of attack; It's surprise attack when it first springs out of it's bud, a simple bite or headbutt attack, and its unshieldable eating attack -predicted by when it licks its lips- in which it grabs and vigourously chews Link in its large mouth, dealing 1 1/4 hearts of damage. Luckily, Link is too big for a Boko Baba to swallow and will be spat out.

When defeated, depending on the Boko baba, it leaves it's bud behind intact. it also leaves behind a Boko Stick, and sometimes a Boko Baba Seed.

Boko Bud

When Link jumps into a boko bud, it will spit him high into the air in any direction. Upon jumping into one, as a bonus, a small amount of magic will be recovered. This is important, because many areas require Link to use the deku leaf (a magically tolling item) after jumping out of the Boko bud. It should be noted that the actual bud and a bud occupied by a Boko Baba are different yet similar colors.
