The Guard House is a place in Ocarina of Time.[1]

Features

The house is relatively small, and is located just beside the entrance to Hyrule Castle Town. It is open 24 hours a day and it's only inhabitant is a bored soldier who actually encourages Link to destroy the pots within.[2] The house, during the age of Child Link, is filled with several pots, five Crates, and one Gold Skulltula. Breaking the jars is a useful way to fill up on Rupees when Link needs to buy something important or wants to play one of the minigames in Hyrule Castle Town.

When Link travels to the future, the house turns into the Ghost Shop, run by the Poe Collector. In Link's childhood, the guard in the Guard House says that he has an interest in ghosts and that the knowledge he has of them may be useful someday, which strongly implies that he is the Poe Collector found in the Ghost Shop.[3]

Trivia

  • There are two pots located on top of the walls within the Guard House which require either the Slingshot or Boomerang to hit, but they give no reward what so ever.
