Debirando is an otherwise unnamed enemy that first appeared in A Link to the Past. It is a worm-like monster with large snapping pincers that lives in desert regions. It creates sinkholes in the sand as it burrows underneath, drawing in its prey. Red Debirandos are also able to spit fireballs over a long distance. If Link gets caught in the sinkhole, it is virtually impossible to escape, so the young hero will have to fight the Debirando up close while it attempts to slice him with its claws.
