Template:Future gameTemplate:Character Demon Lord Ghirahim is a character featured in Skyward Sword. He is a figure of authority in the land below Skyloft who thinks highly of himself,[1][2] preferring to be called "Lord Ghirahim".[3]

At some point in the game, he summons a tornado in Skyloft that sucks up Link and a girl riding on her bird, heavily implied to be Zelda.[4] However, he fails in capturing the girl because a "servant of the goddess" took her instead.[5] Ghirahim's main interest appears to be capturing the girl.[6][7]

Battle

At one point in the game, Link is forced to fight against Ghirahim. Link must hit the Demon Lord several times with his sword, although Ghirahim is capable of easily dodging and blocking Link's sword strikes with just two fingers. After being hit enough times, Ghirahim will draw a sword of his own. Throughout the fight, he can vanish at will and transport to another part of the room. He can also summon pink spike-like objects which he can throw at the young hero to damage him. While Ghirahim is wielding his sword, he will briefly charge at Link and unleash a powerful strike at him.

At the end of the fight, Ghirahim is surprised at Link's skills but reminds him that Link's sword is the only reason the young hero is still alive. He also tells him that the presence of the "girl", possibly Zelda, has faded from where they are. Before leaving, Ghirahim warns that if Link meets him again, he will die.[8]

I fear I spent far too long teasing and toying with you. The girl's presence has all but faded from this place... No reason to linger here. Good bye, sky child. Run and play this time. But cross me again, and you're dead." — Ghirahim (Skyward Sword)
