It is likely that the name Bagu is a joke from the developers, since he is close friends and quest-related to the character [[Error]]. "Bagu" would be the counterpart of the Japanese way of writing the word "bug". As such, "bug" and "error" refer to a computer's malfunctioning.

Bagu vs. Link

"Bagu" also appears in an issue of the Valiant Comics. He was excited to run into Link a while after the events of The Adventure of Link occurred. He stayed at Hyrule Castle for few days,[5] pretending to befriend Link and Zelda,[6] but in a sudden moment, he betrayed them and stole the Triforce of Wisdom.[7] Link managed to catch up with "Bagu", and fought with him. "Bagu" soon realized that Link had brought his Power Glove with him,[8] and that he would be no match against such a weapon. He surrendered as he told his tale to Link- Ganon had kidnapped his two pet frogs, and was holding them ransom,[9] and demanded the Triforce in return. Trivia

It is likely that the name Bagu is a joke from the developers, since he is close friends and quest-related to the character Error. "Bagu" would be the counterpart of the Japanese way of writing the word "bug". As such, "bug" and "error" refer to a computer's malfunctioning.
