The Eye Slug is a small, snake-like creature that charges at Link, during his journey through the Goron Temple in Phantom Hourglass. They appear throughout the battle with Dongorongo trying to distract Link (he is far removed from the actual battle by a river of sand, of which the Eye Slugs can cross) while Gongoron tries to knock over Dongorongo, exposing its well-protected weak spot. As Dongorongo may be an evolved form of Dodongo, Eye Slugs may in fact be a young form of Dongorongo, as Baby Dodongos were a young form of Dodongo.
