Alfonzo is a Master Train Engineer who helped Link become a Royal Engineer in Spirit Tracks. In the past, Alfonzo used to serve the Hyrulean army; however, he left his position there for reasons unknown.[1] Template:Spoiler Once Link and Princess Zelda escape Hyrule Castle to discover the reason as to why the Spirit Tracks have been disappearing, they bump into Alfonzo, who insists on accompanying the pair on their quest to the Tower of Spirits. On the way to their destination, the Spirit Tracks begin to disappear underneath the train and causes it to tumble. Chancellor Cole then appears and easily defeats the group, leaving Alfonzo and Link unconscious while the chancellor takes this opportunity to kidnap Zelda's body.
