Template:Dungeons The Tower of Spirits is a fortress that was built one hundred years prior to the events of Spirit Tracks. It was built by past incarnations of Link and Princess Zelda to be used in conjunction with the Spirit Tracks in order to imprison Malladus, the original ruler of the new land which would eventually be called Hyrule.[1]
The guardian of the tower is a Lokomo known as Anjean.[2] She has tried her hardest to withhold Malladus from escaping from his confinement.
The Tower of Spirits is very similar to the Temple of the Ocean King which appeared in Phantom Hourglass. Each floor of the tower has puzzles required to proceed to the next however, unlike its predecessor, there is a staircase that allows Link to skip over previously completed floors.[3]
