The Village Library is a location in Link's Awakening.[1][2]

Features and Overview

The Village Library is a Library in Mabe Village that contains several Books on small tables. Fun with Bombs explains how to pick up and throw Bombs, The Properties of Warp Points describes how to Warp between Warp Points, and Selecting the Item That's Right for You explains how Link can use the Inventory Subscreen to select Items to use. The Maps and Memories Guide Book teaches him how to use the Map, recall Memories, and place Pins, Secrets of the Whirling Blade explains how to use a Spin Attack, and How to Handle Your Shield Like a Pro! teaches that he can Defend himself and Push Enemies back with a Shield. The Atlas of Koholint Island allows Link to see the full Map of Koholint Island, and Dark Secrets and Mysteries of Koholint gives directions to navigate the Egg Maze but requires the Magnifying Lens to read.

In Link's Awakening DX and Link's Awakening for Nintendo Switch, the Book The Hidden Power of Color can be found atop of the wide Bookcase at the back of the Village Library. In order to read it, Link must knock it down by Sprinting into the Bookcase using the Pegasus Boots. Link can then read it to learn how to access the Color Dungeon.
