Giant Masked Insect: Twinmold is a pair of gargantuan insects found in the fourth dungeon (Stone Tower Temple) in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. This monster is responsible for all the curses that have been placed on Ikana Canyon, and it is keeping the fourth giant from its freedom. Twinmold's name is obviously a reference to Moldorm.

|quote1= Just its head and tail aren't protected by its hard exoskeleton, so aim carefully. If only you were the same size as it...

TWINMOLD HAS GOT MILK?
|context2= Blue Twinmold (-)
|quote2= Look closely!<br />There's something that looks like an eye in the joints of its body... Try aiming for it! Carefully!

Trivia
|context3= Red Twinmold, before obtaining the Giant's Mask (-)
|quote3= At this rate, we'll never beat him! We need to be the same size to even stand a chance... We must have SOMETHING up our sleeve, right?!

Twinmold bears a striking resemblance to the Lanmolas of A Link to the Past.
|context4= Red Twinmold, after being knocked to the ground (-)
|quote4= That was...incredible.<br />Anyway, now's our chance! Let's take that thing down!

These are possibly the largest bosses Link has ever fought, along with Molgera, Morpheel, Eox and Dark Dragon.
|context5= Without the Giant's Mask (-)
|quote5= Yikes! That thing's fierce in the sky, and now on top of that we have these little weirdos to deal with too. Why can't we catch a break?!

|context6= Using the Giant's Mask (-)
|quote6= Ick! Look at all those Moldbabies... As you are now, maybe you can muster up the energy to destroy them all!

MM3D's MM3D room is located above the room where the MM3D is fought. To defeat MM3D, MM3D must attack its vulnerable heads and tails. The most effective method for defeating MM3D is to use the MM3D while wearing the MM3D, which allows MM3D to grow to the size of MM3D. However, MM3D will not be able to use while using the MM3D. As the drains MM3D's MM3D, MM3D can replenish it by destroying the pillars found throughout the area, which contain MM3D. It is possible to defeat MM3D without the MM3D by shooting MM3D at MM3D's weak points. MM3D are effective against MM3D's red tail, as are MM3D against its blue tail.

If MM3D strays too far from the initial platform during the battle, even if he is wearing the MM3D, he will sink into the MM3D. This causes him to be returned to the 's entrance. MM3D may fly past this boundary in an effort to lure MM3D into the trap.

Once MM3D has dealt sufficient damage to one half of MM3D, its body will explode, with its head crashing into the MM3D. Once both parts of MM3D are defeated, MM3D will receive a MM3D and MM3D, freeing the final who was trapped in MM3D's body. MM3D's defeat lifts the curse on , causing the undead monsters brought to life by the curse to disappear.

In MM3D, MM3D's spikes are colored blue and red. The blue MM3D must be defeated by shooting MM3D at the eyes beneath it. This will make it fall to the ground and reveal its main eye. Once defeated, a MM3D containing the MM3D appears in the center of the arena. The red MM3D can shoot fireballs and summon MM3D, which leave MM3D and MM3D when defeated. MM3D can be defeated easily by bashing the ground by holding the B Button as a giant.

While in giant form, MM3D can throw punches and roll in order to hit and stun MM3D. In order to stun MM3D, it has to be hit ten times or hit with three combos to knock him down while he is flying. If MM3D burrows while flying, the stun counter will reset. Alternatively, MM3D can throw one of the two giant MM3D at MM3D to stun it immediately. When stunned, MM3D can grab its tail and spin it around, leading to a whip onto the ground, or choke it by grabbing its head. When spinning or choking MM3D, more damage is dealt when spinning the Circle Pad around.

Nomenclature
MM3D's name may be a reference to MM3D, with "Twin" referring to the fact that there are two of them.
