Voltfruits can be found growing from Cacti within the Gerudo Desert. They can also be bought at Lorn's Fruit Stand in Gerudo Town. Red Hinoxes can also drop Voltfruits upon their deaths. When eaten, Voltfruits provide Link with half a Heart. Voltfruits exposed to Fire become Roasted Voltfruit. Meals made using Voltfruits give Link Shock Resistance.[1] The Kochi Dye Shop accepts them as an ingredient for Orange Dye.

A Voltfruit is needed in order to make Creamy Heart Soup. As is the case with other Fruits, Voltfruits can be used to make Fruit Pie, Fruitcake, Honeyed Fruits, Simmered Fruit, Steamed Fruit, Fruit and Mushroom Mix, and Copious Simmered Fruit.

Five Voltfruits, as well as five Yellow Chuchu Jellies, are needed to upgrade each piece of the Rubber Armor set to its first tier at a Great Fairy Fountain.

Tears of the Kingdom

Voltfruits once again grow on Cacti in the Gerudo Desert.[2] They are naturally insulated and known for their sweet taste.[2] Voltfruits restore half of a Heart to Link's Life Gauge when eaten. Due to being insulated, they cause Foods Cooked with them to grant Link Shock Resistance.[2] They can be used as an ingredient for Orange Dye at the Kochi Dye Shop in Hateno Village. Voltfruits exposed to Fires or Scorching Climates become Roasted Voltfruits.

They have no special properties when Fused to Weapons, Shields or Arrows.

Voltfruits are required to upgrade the following pieces of Armor at a Great Fairy Fountain:
