Tornado Rods are recurring Items in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][name references needed]

Location and Uses

A Link Between Worlds

The Tornado Rod can be obtained from Ravio's Shop after completing the Eastern Palace. It costs 50 Rupees to rent, and 800 Rupees to purchase. When used, the Tornado Rod creates a whirlwind in place that lifts Link into the air for several seconds. Link cannot move around while airborne, but he can use the Rod to drop onto moving platforms that pass under him, or to enter the path of a Wind gust.

The large whirlwind that the Tornado Rod creates when he used can also throw other objects into the air, including Jars, stone tiles, and some items in Trees. Enemies caught in the whirlwind will become dizzy for a few seconds. The Tornado Rod is required to entering the House of Gales.
