Frozen River Snails are recurring Items in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2]

Location and Uses

Breath of the Wild

Frozen River Snails are a type of Frozen Food. Link can make Frozen River Snails by exposing Sneaky River Snails to Freezing Climates or Cold Water.[3] Sneaky River Snails are noted to no longer glow after being frozen.[1] Eating one restores one Heart to Link's Life Gauge and grants temporary Heat Resistance.[1]

Tears of the Kingdom

Frozen River Snails reappear in Tears of the Kingdom as a variety of Frozen Food. They can be made by exposing Sneaky River Snails to a Freezing Climate or Cold Water. Due to being frozen, Sneaky River Snails lose their ability to glow.[2] If Link eats a Frozen River Snail, he will heal one Heart to his Life Gauge and receive one level of temporary Heat Resistance.[2]
