The Tutsuwa Nima Shrine,[1] designated by the Trial name A Major Test of Strength,[1] is an Ancient Shrine in Breath of the Wild.

Entrance to the Shrine

The Tutsuwa Nima Shrine is located behind the Spring of Power in the Akkala Highlands. The Ancient Shrine can only be accessed after completing "The Spring of Power" Shrine Quest. To receive this Quest, Link must talk to Nobo at the East Akkala Stable and ask her about the surrounding area.[2] She will recite a legend saying a "sacred article" must be offered to the Spring.[3] After hearing this, the Shrine Quest will begin.

When Link arrives at the Spring of Power, the Spring of Power Statue will instruct him to offer Dinraal's Scale to the Spring.[4] Doing so will open the door to the Ancient Shrine.[5] When he enters the Shrine, Link will hear the voice of its Monk, Tutsuwa Nima.[6]

Themes and Navigation

The Tutsuwa Nima Shrine is just like any other "Major Test of Strength," which tasks Link with fighting a Guardian Scout IV. This Guardian Scout is equipped with a Guardian Sword++, Guardian Spear++, and a Guardian Shield++. The floor of the Ancient Shrine is covered with a thin coat of Water, allowing Link to use the Cryonis Rune and Electricity to his advantage while fighting his Enemy.

After defeating the Guardian Scout IV in combat, the portcullis in the back of the chamber will open. Behind it is the Monk's Pedestal bearing Tutsuwa Nima, who will give Link a Spirit Orb for completing the Trial.[7] The Monk then wishes Link well before disappearing.[8]

Behind the portcullis, Link can also find a stone Treasure Chest. He can recover a Flamespear from inside.
