A young girl living in Mabe Village on Koholint Island. She discoveres Link on the beach, after he is shipwrecked in Link's Awakening. She greatly resembles Princess Zelda. She dreams of singing for people far away, over the ocean. She teaches Link the Ballad of the Wind Fish which he needs to awaken the Wind Fish. Marin lives with her father Tarin. If Link manages to complete his quest without dying, he saves Marin when Koholint Island disappears.
