Blizzard Rods are one-handed {{Plural|BotW|Weapon|link}}. They are superior counterparts to [[Ice Rod]]s, crafted from refined [[Ice]] found at the summit of [[Hebra Peak]].<ref name="Inventory"/> Blizzard Rods are not made of flammable materials and can safely be used around open flames or [[Scorching Climate]]s. Blizzard Rods are also not made of magnetic materials and cannot be manipulated with [[Magnesis]]. Blizzard Rods do not conduct electricity, and will float in sufficiently deep bodies of water.

Blizzard Rods are imbued with Ice elemental energy, generating three flurries of Ice when swung. However, Blizzard Rods are fragile and will break easily if they make direct contact with objects or enemies. Blizzard Rods will also break simply from extended use.<ref name="Inventory"/> If Link executes a [[Spin Attack]] while wielding a Blizzard Rod, he will loose eight blasts at once in different directions. They also provide minor resistance to [[Heat]], though they have no effect in Scorching Climates. When thrown with the R button, Blizzard Rods will not leave [[Link]]'s hand and instead produce three flurries of Ice that will advance in the direction they are thrown. Blizzard Rods will temporarily lose their magical properties if used excessively, requiring a brief cooldown period before they can be used again.
