To use this template, type:

{{Parameter|Game|The game that the article pertains to. Can be the game's full title, subtitle, or abbreviation. See [[Template:Zelda#Usable_Names|here]] for a list of possible values. This adds the article to a more specific category (e.g. [[:Category:Phantom Hourglass Articles Lacking Sources]]) in addition to the general category, for the benefit of editors. Entering "nocat" [[Help:category suppression|suppresses the category]] altogether. This occurs by default on {{dict|userpage}}s.|Optional}}
 
If the article covers multiple games, use additional parameters, e.g. (<code><nowiki>{{Lacking Sources|OOT|MM|TWW|TP}}</nowiki></code>). The template accepts up to 20 game parameters.

This template is used for requesting citations for an entire article. For requesting citations for a single sentence, see Template:Fact.

Purpose

To be placed above articles that generally lack references. This adds the page to the Articles lacking sources category. Community pages are automatically added to the Community articles lacking sources category as well. Specific categories also exist for each game (see below).
