Sand Sparrows are a breed of Sparrow native to the Gerudo Desert.[3][4] They have adapted to the intense Heat and aridity of their home, and they bury themselves in the Sand and remain immobile in order to avoid predators.[4] They gather in small flocks on the ground, but they will fly away if they are disturbed. Sand Sparrows drop Chickaloo Tree Nuts when they are killed.
