Dactos are recurring Enemies in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][name references needed]

Characteristics

A Link to the Past

Dactos are pterosaur-like Enemies exclusive to the Dark World in A Link to the Past, acting as a counterpart to the Light World's Crows. They are commonly found on rocky outcrops and in the Swamp of Evil, where they can be found sitting on Trees. When they spot Link they will swoop down at him and continually pursue him until they are defeated or Link leaves the area.

Link's Awakening

Dactos can be found in mountainous regions such as Tal Tal Mountain Range and near the entrance of Turtle Rock in Link's Awakening. They swoop at Link at sight.

Oracle of Seasons

Dactos appear in the Holodrum Plain in Oracle of Seasons. They swoop in to steal Link's Rupees.

A Link Between Worlds

Dactos appear solely in Lorule in A Link Between Worlds. They take on the same role as Crows in Hyrule.
