Rupees are the primary Currency in Hyrule in The Minish Cap, used by Hylians and Business Scrubs to purchase items from one another.[4][5] Trade and bartering are occasionally used for simple goods like food,[6] and Carlov accepts Mysterious Shells as a Currency to exchange for Figurines.[7]

Although Rupees can be obtained in the Minish Realm, the Minish are never shown to use them. Instead, they give the people of Hyrule the nectar of their Pico Blooms,[8] and leave Items (including Rupees) scattered around the land for travelers to find with Kinstones.[9]
